2004-03-02 - 10:05 p.m. - they say it's your birthdday...well it's my birthday too - yeah

happy birthday to me....

i'm buried in finals and grading right now - i stayed until 7:45 p.m. finishing copying and stapling my finals - a 12 hour work day - not my favorite way to celebrate. but i did get a box of chocolates, some cinnamon buns (which i'll eat tomorrow since i didn't know they were on my desk until after lunch), and my favorite - a ladyfinger torte with cream and berries - a surprise presentation to me after school by some of my closest friends at work. it was a great way to have a little break before i had to write my finals.

my 3rd period sang to me (after i yelled at a few of them for throwing things), and my 5th period also sang a rap/rock version of happy birthday - it was funny and really sweet from the class who has challenged me most this trimester.

when i turn 40 next year, i'll be in a foreign country! perhaps i'll go salsa dancing....
